The 2026 NSH Convention will take place September 25-29, 2026. The purpose of the NSH Convention is to provide an interchange of ideas pertinent to histotechnology and to advance professional growth, standards, knowledge, and performance in histotechnology through continuing and formal educational programs. This year, NSH is specifically seeking Learning Labs that teach basic histotechnology skills (i.e. fixation, staining, embedding, etc) as well as beginner and advanced courses in digital pathology, spatial omics, and molecular topics. Other topics will be considered, but priority will be given those meeting these needs.
Important Notes:
The program will cover both clinical and research histology topics and will have a variety of presentation styles:
Workshops - standard 60 minute lecture format with lecture and Q&A Express Talks - 15 minute lectures that explore a single idea illustrating a troubleshooting tip, management tool or technique demonstration Learning Labs - hands on training that provide the opportunity for attendees to observe and practice skills.
All session proposals must be submitted electronically through the form linked below by February 14, 2026. Session proposals received after the deadline or with incomplete information may not be considered. Presenters can "save and edit later" during the submission process. Any questions please feel free to contact NSH Education Director, Connie Wildeman
